The Alleghany County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the Roanoke City Commonwealth Attorney office that the investigation surrounding the
Officer involved shooting that occurred on January 15, 2024 at 831 Beverly Ave in the City of Covington was determined to be justified.
The Deputies have been on paid administrative leave in accordance with Department policy since the incident, have fulfilled all Department requirement and will return to full duty.
