On Monday, April 15, the Varsity Lady Cougars hosted a softball game at Alleghany High School against the Wilson Memorial Green Hornets. The game would end at the bottom of the fifth due to the slaughter rule, with the Lady Cougars securing a 13-3 victory over the Hornets. Pictured here is Kelsey Nicely just after she very nearly hit the ball out of the park. The softball would bang against the top of the fence, mere inches away from a home run.
