HOT SPRINGS – It’s been nearly three weeks since Bath County’s JV baseball team took the field for a live game.
The last time the Chargers JV squad was on the diamond was back on March 28th when the team slugged out a 29-2 victory over Highland.
It was a game that was dominated but a 20-run fourth inning from BCHS. Hunter Kirby was at the forefront with a game-high four RBI’s as the Chargers won their second game of the season.
Then spring break took place for Bath County High School and much like the rest of the sports at BCHS there were no games that week.
As the school came back from break last week, a ton of rain outs and postponements happened throughout the Bath County spring athletic programs.
So to was the JV baseball team hit by postponements. After not having played a live competitive game in 13 days the Chargers game against Narrows was postponed.
With two games on tap for this week, it will be 18-days since their last game (weather permitting) as BCHS hosts the Rams on Tuesday as well Eastern Montgomery in Hot Springs on Thursday.
The Bath County (2-1) JV baseball team currently only has six games remaining on their schedule for the 2024 season.
UPDATED SCHEDULE
