HOT SPRINGS – Postponements, postponements, postponements.
That’s been the theme thus far for the Bath County varsity girl’s tennis team.
Nearly a month into the spring sports season and the Chargers tennis team has yet to complete a match.
It’s been a rough go for the BCHS tennis program trying to get onto the court for a match.
On March 18th, their home match with Buffalo Gap was postponed. Three days later, it was more of the same for their scheduled match with Page County.
With their first two scheduled matches rained out, it looked as if finally, Bath County would get in their first match of the season this past Tuesday against Parry McCluer in Buena Vista.
The defending Pioneer Champions took the court against the Fighting Blues for the first time since pulling off the upset in the district title game. On Tuesday BCHS fell behind early 2-1 and then the rain came down.
The match would be stopped.
As of now there is no makeup to date to finish the match.
Following their unfinished match with Parry McCluer, Bath County was set to play on the road against Narrows last Thursday, however, that match too was postponed and moved to Monday, April 29th.
So now when will the Chargers get that first official match in the books? As of now the team is scheduled to host Page County on Tuesday in Hot Springs. That match is a makeup from their March 21st postponement.
BCHS will also play on the road on Thursday against Buffalo Gap.
Below is the current updated schedule for the girl’s tennis team. Not listed is the completion to the game at Parry McCluer as that date has not yet been determined.

April 18 at Buffalo Gap
April 22 vs Bland County (added to their schedule)
April 25 at Page County
April 26 vs Buffalo Gap (makeup from March 18)
April 29 at Narrows (makeup from April 11)
