Please vote for the Virginian Review Alleghany and Bath County Diamond Players of the Week for the week of April 8-13. Two boys and two girls from the area’s 4 teams (Alleghany baseball, Alleghany softball, Bath Co. baseball, and Bath Co. softball) are nominated and combined together in one poll. We will take the top vote getters and announce the winners from each school on Monday nights (time may vary week-to-week). Again, there will be a winner from each school. Voting closes Monday, April 15, 2024 at 4:00 PM.

***- Bath County Softball stats were not reported or available***

NOMINEES:

Brady May- .333, HR, R, 2 RBIs. On the mound, pitched 2.1 innings, allowed just 1 hit and had 2 strikeouts.

Eli Weese- Hit .428 with a home run and 3 RBIs. Also scored 4 runs in a tough, but close 0-2 week for the Cougars baseball team.

Kelsey Nicely- In just one game, went 1-3 with a double and an RBI.

Addison Morris- Went 1-2 with a run and 2 RBIs and had a double in the Lady Cougars 6-5 loss to Patrick County.

Issac Ingram- drew 2 walks in a game that the Chargers were no-hit, otherwise.

Jake Boguess- good relief appearance out of the bullpen.

Oops! Sorry about that, voting has closed.

But wait! There's another one coming up very soon!
