The Alleghany Highlands Arts Council is pleased to present Emmet Cahill in concert at Curfman Hall in Covington Middle School on Tuesday evening, March 19. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m.
In Europe, Mr. Cahill is acclaimed as ‘Ireland’s Most Exciting Young Tenor.’ For the past 12 years, he has toured North America as the lead singer of PBS Phenomenon Celtic Thunder, recording 6 World Billboard #1 albums. As a solo artist, Cahill has performed concerts in over 80 cities across the US and Canada. His first sold-out solo concert was at New York’s Carnegie Hall, to rave reviews.
He recently performed with the world-acclaimed ‘Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra’ at Temple Square and New York’s St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where he entertained dignitaries and world leaders celebrating St. Patrick’s Day 2023. He has also performed with prestigious orchestras such as the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and The Pittsburgh Symphony, as well as sold-out concerts in some of North America’s most famous music venues.
The Alleghany Highlands Chorale and the Alleghany High School choirs will perform with Mr. Cahill. These local singers have spent hours rehearsing separately and together, preparing for a workshop and final rehearsal with the artist himself the night before the event.
