HOT SPRINGS – Following a 4-1 season-opening loss to Pendleton County, Bath County’s JV baseball team has now won two straight.
In two away games last week, wins over Eastern Montgomery and Highland, the Chargers put 47 total runs across the plate.
BCHS slugged out an 18-16 road win at Eastern Montgomery on Wednesday and then demolished Highland in Monterey 29-2 the very next day on Thursday.
Gunner Whiddon and Dylan Hicklin each drove in three runs to help lead Bath County to what was their first win of the season. Meanwhile Colton Wilhelm took the win for the Chargers.
Then on Thursday BCHS exploded with a 20-run fourth inning to help lead to their 29-2 victory over the Rams.
Hunter Kirby led all batters with a four RBI performance at the plate. Meanwhile Hicklin earned the win over HHS.
Bath County (2-1) will be off until Thursday, April 11 when they host Narrows.
