The name Linda Bogar is synonymous with love, laughter, and friendship. No one knows that better than her family, her friends, and her co-workers here at the Virginian Review. On this day, April 18, we remember Linda Bogar on what would have been her 62nd birthday.
To know Linda was to love her. No matter what trials she faced in her own life, she was always ready to greet us with a smile. She was a woman of faith who loved everything about being outdoors. Monday mornings were always filled with tales of camping, fishing, and inner-tubing down the river with her beloved husband, Clifford.
Linda was also a devoted grandmother who loved her grandbabies more than anything else in the world. Before her passing, she was counting down the days until the birth of her newest grandchild, Callan. Her other 6 grandchildren were Rhaelynn, Abigail, Jacob, Brayden, Corey, and Nathaniel. Each one held a special place in her big heart.
Her coworkers remember Linda for her jokes, her stories, her smile, and her generosity. When she knew her coworker was struggling with something, it wasn’t uncommon for her to bring flowers or balloons, often leaving them on the desk and disappearing before she could get caught.
When we were in the planning stages of moving our office to Main Street, Linda was so excited! She couldn’t wait to see it all come together and how the public would respond. Needless to say, without Linda the move was bittersweet for all of us.
Linda’s picture now sits in a frame in the front of our office. This was one of her favorite photos. We miss you, sweet friend and will continue to remember you on your birthday and always.
Happy Birthday, Linda!
