The Masonic Ampitheatre, located at 513 Church Street, is currently holding its 2023 Summer Music Concert Series. Initially, ticket prices were $15 per show, but Justin Reiter, executive director of the Historic Masonic Theatre, recently announced that tickets will be pay-what-you-can for the remainder of the summer.
The Summer Music Concert Series, now in its third year, features live music from local bands all summer long, each performing at 7 p.m. at the ampitheatre on the date of their scheduled event. Each concert night, full concessions will be available with snacks and both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Guests can look forward to Gentleman South on July 7th, Old School on July 14th, Alibi on August 11th, and Fender Benders on August 18th.
In addition to the Summer Music Concert Series, Reiter also discussed open mic night; another event hosted by the Historic Masonic Theatre. “We have an open mic night, which is the second Thursday of every month and that open mic has a house band. The house band is Alibi and so, you can come and bring your instrument and play music with them or you can get up and sing a song with them playing. So, it’s kind of cool.”
Open mic night is set to continue for two more months for those wishing to participate and will be located in the underground. Admission is free unless guests choose to consume alcohol, in which case there will be a $5 cover charge. There is no age requirement for participation.
