At the conclusion of closed session on Monday, March 11, 2024 the School Board took the following personnel action:
The School Board approved the appointments of Edna J. Degroot as Part Time Science Teacher at Alleghany High School effective March 21, 2024; Shawn A. Shiflett was approved as Social Studies Teacher at Covington Middle School effective July 1, 2024; Lakeisha N. Allen was approved as Part Time Food Services Worker at Mountain View Elementary School effective March 12, 2024; Kristina R. Pasco was approved as Teacher at Sharon Elementary School effective July 1, 2024; Melissa J. Walker was approved as Custodian at the Bus Garage/Floater effective March 12, 2024; The School Board accepted the resignation of Jessica L. Hensley; Special Education Teacher effective June 30, 2024; Hannah M. Johnson; Science Teacher effective March 22, 2024; both at Alleghany High School.
The School Board accepted the retirement of Jill A. Harlow; Teacher; Melissa S. Nicely; Teacher; both at Sharon Elementary School effective June 30, 2024; Patricia P. Byer; Food Services Worker at Jeter-Watson Elementary School effective June 30, 2024.
