Lance Elwood Lyons
Lance Elwood Lyons, age 53, of 6760 Deerfield Road, Millboro, Virginia died Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at 8227 Cowpasture River Highway, Millboro.
Lance was born February 2, 1970, in Arlington, Virginia to Shelia Lyons, but was adopted and raised by his maternal grandparents, James Marvin and Laura Catherine Brown Lyons. He received his forestry degree from Dabney S. Lancaster Community College and was the Owner and Manager of Green Valley Farm Hunter’s Paradise. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a Washington Redskins fan and loved to play baseball. His talent led him to play while in college.
In addition to his grandparents, James and Laura Lyons; Lance was preceded in death by his father, Marvin “Woody” Lyons.
He is survived by his birth mother, Shelia Lyons of Lovettsville; a son, Luke Lyons and wife, Becca of Covington; a daughter, Grace Lyons of Lynchburg; three brothers, James “Andy” Lyons and wife Tami, James Nance Lyons and friend Barbara, and Carl Warren Foreaker and wife Kathy, all of Lovettsville; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews; and special friends, Clint and Becky Burke.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Living Stones Ministries Church with Reverend Mike Rollins officiating.
