Please vote for the Virginian Review Alleghany and Bath County Diamond Players of the Week for the week of March 25-30. Two boys and two girls from the area’s 4 teams (Alleghany baseball, Alleghany softball, Bath Co. baseball, and Bath Co. softball) are nominated and combined together in one poll. We will take the top vote getters and announce the winners from each school on Monday nights (time may vary week-to-week). Again, there will be a winner from each school. Voting closes Monday, April 1, 2024 at 4:00 PM.
*NOTE*- Bath County baseball games were postponed so there are no BC baseball nominees until this coming week.
NOMINEES:
Chris Harden, A- Hit .800 with a home run, a double, 5 runs scored, and 4 RBIs in a perfect 2-0 week for the Cougars.
Hunter DePriest, A- .333 average, HR, 3 runs scored, and 4 RBIs in 2 wins.
Kaylee Nicely. A- 1-4 with an RBI in a win over Rockbridge County.
Laken Cantrell, A- 3-4, 2 runs, and an RBI in their lone game, a 6-2 win over Rockbridge County.
Bayley Gardzinski, BC- had two hits and a home run in her game this week.
Trinity Forbes- 2 hits, 2 runs scored.
