              Alleghany County announces office closures on October 9 for Columbus Day

              The following offices will be closed on Monday, October 9, 2023, in observance of Columbus Day:

              County Offices located in the Alleghany County Governmental Complex, 9212 Winterberry Avenue, Covington, VA

              These offices will reopen for business on Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

              The Island Ford Transfer Station will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on October 9th, but will be CLOSED on Saturday, October 7th.
