Timothy Blair “Tim” Craft
Timothy Blair “Tim” Craft, age 57, of 400 Commerce Avenue, Iron Gate, Virginia died on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at his residence in Iron Gate after a battle with cancer.
Tim was born on November, 13, 1966 in Clifton Forge, Virginia to William Lafayette “Sonny” Craft and Patsy Ruth Burgess Craft. He served in the United States Air Force for two years, and was a dance instructor for the Arthur Murray School of Dance. He was a member of the Glen Wilton Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an uncle, George Burgess and an aunt, Ellen Jane Fulton.
He is survived by his parents, Sonny and Patsy Craft of Iron Gate; a sister, Pamela L. Craft of Hendersonville, NC; a nephew, Elijah Timothy Craft; three aunts, Kitty “Kit” Bryant (Danny), Virginia “Bil-Bil” Newcomb, and Betty “Bet” Wright; and a number of cousins.
In keeping with his wishes, his body has been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Tim’s memory to the Blue Ridge Cancer Center, 2013 South Jefferson Street, Roanoke, VA 24014, or to the American Red Cross, PO Box 37839, Boone, IA 50037-0839.
