Vadnia Virginia “Aunt Grandma” Hyler Clark, age 91, of 2716 Golf Course View, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, November 10, 2023 at her residence.
Virginia was born on March 6, 1932 to the late Charles and Mattie Elizabeth Ayers Hyler. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant for the former Shenandoah Manor Nursing Home in Clifton Forge, and loved to cook and read.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Richard Clark; five brothers, Paul Hyler, Frazier Hyler, Charles Hyler, Delmas Hyler, and Richard Hyler; and a sister, Madeline Clark.
She is survived by four daughters, Lisa Clark, Linda Cary and husband Clayton, Debbie Jo Kincaid, and Sarah Burnette and husband Thomas, all of Clifton Forge; a sister, Carolyn Waldron of New Jersey; two brothers, Harry Hyler and wife Janet, of Mt. Crawford and Ray Hyler and wife Rhonda of Florida; two sisters-in-law, Patty Hyler and Ruby Clark Broughman, both of Clifton Forge; a brother-in-law, Jessie Clark of Natural Bridge Station; five grandchildren, Heather, Joseph, Richard, Amy, and Mark; five great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM in Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery, Clifton Forge with Reverend Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will immediately follow. Pallbearers will be Thomas R. Burnette, Tommy DePriest, Jr., Jeff Persinger, Tommy Burnette, Isaac Burnette, and Joe Marple. The family will visit with friends at Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge on Monday afternoon from 12:30 PM until the time to proceed to the cemetery.
