Mountain Gateway Community College is thrilled to announce the outstanding achievements of 8 our students in the Information Systems Technology program, who have successfully completed all three courses in preparation for the CCNA exam through the Cisco Networking Academy. As a result of their dedication and hard work, these students have earned a discount voucher for the CCNA exam, a significant milestone in their journey towards becoming certified networking professionals.
The CCNA certification is recognized globally as a benchmark for entry-level networking skills, and our students have demonstrated mastery in a range of essential areas including:
Networking Fundamentals: Understanding of networking concepts, protocols, architecture, and the OSI model.
Routing and Switching Essentials: Configuration and troubleshooting of routers and switches, as well as basic network design.
Scaling Networks: Implementation and optimization of scalable network architectures, including LAN switching technologies, IP addressing, and routing protocols.
Connecting Networks: Integration of remote connectivity and wide area network (WAN) technologies, alongside security and network services concepts.
“Under the guidance of our experienced faculty, our students have not only acquired technical knowledge but have also developed critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills essential for success in the dynamic field of information technology,” said Dr. Benjamin Worth, Vice President of Academic Affairs.
“We are immensely proud of our students’ accomplishments,” said Tamra Lipscomb, Program Head of Information Systems Technology. “Their dedication to mastering the fundamentals of networking and preparing for the CCNA exam is a testament to their commitment to professional growth and excellence. We are confident that they will continue to thrive and make significant contributions to the field of information technology.”
This achievement reflects the commitment of Mountain Gateway Community College to providing high-quality education and preparing students for industry-relevant certifications that enhance their career prospects. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the students who have completed the CCNA preparation courses and wish them the best of luck as they pursue their certification goals and embark on rewarding careers in the field of networking.
