Michael Wayne Kimberlin
Mr. Michael Wayne Kimberlin, age 68, of Hot Springs, VA, died Sunday, December 3, 2023, at CAMC Greenbrier Medical Center, Ronceverte, WV. He was the husband of Sherry Jean Rucker Kimberlin.
Mr. Kimberlin was born November 11, 1955 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Norman Earnway Kimberlin, Sr. and Celia Virginia Wolfe Kimberlin Terry. He was employed by the City of Covington where he worked as a superintendent in the Public Works Department. Michael was a
member of Emory United Methodist Church. In his spare time, Mr. Kimberlin enjoyed riding motorcycles and going to car shows. He was the former owner of Classic Auto. Michael enjoyed working and most of all, loved spending time with his family.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Kimberlin is survived by a daughter, Heather Eugenia Kimberlin Bowers and husband, Michael of Knoxville, TN; one granddaughter, Quinlyn Sage Bowers; two brothers, David Kimberlin of Covington and Mark Kimberlin of Covington; two sisters, Norma Griffith and husband, Ernie of Covington and Lorri Campbell and husband, Robert of Covington; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Kimberlin was preceded in death by four brothers, Timmy Kimberlin, Norman Kimberlin, Jr., Coyd Kimberlin and Robert Kimberlin.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 9, 2023 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Baek officiating. Interment will follow in Emory United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Kimberlin, Ernie Griffith, Bobby Griffith, Logan Robertson, Lynn Robertson, Lonnie Givens, Bob Howard, Robbie Campbell and Willie Kimberlin.
The family will receive friends on Saturday afternoon from 11:00 A.M. until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.
