Carol McClung Adkins, 78, of Rutherfordton, NC, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024 at Willow Ridge. A native of Greenbrier, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Thelma McClung.
Carol is survived by her children Douglas (Teresa) Adkins, Sandy Adkins, Dennis (Danielle) Adkins; grandchildren, Darren “DJ” (Elesia) Martin Jr., Nichole (Brian) Adkins-Lepka, Oliver Adkins and Casandra Adkins; great grandchild, Madora Martin; siblings, Linda (Owen) Baldwin, Douglas McClung, Thomas (Sue) McClung, Cathy (Dusty) Morrello and Jeff McClung. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Roger McClung.
No services are planned at this time. The family will hold a private service at a later date.
The family welcomes donations to the Alzheimer’s Association of America, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601 as an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers.
