ROANOKE – Total Action for Progress (TAP) is happy to announce our redesigned volunteer program. The timing is in line with National Volunteer Month, an annual event focused on celebrating the impact volunteers have and encouraging others to become volunteers.
What’s new:
A redesigned TAP volunteer web portal
Separate web pages for individual and group volunteering with lots of information to help people get started
A full list of volunteer opportunities. From planting flowers, to reading to children, to helping with administrative tasks, community members can ensure the time spent with us will be worthwhile and fulfilling
Annette Lewis, TAP president and CEO, states, “We are thankful for the important role that volunteers play in the success of those we assist. We are also excited to provide additional opportunities and a new way to better communicate how volunteer activity can take place.”
Meet Mackenzie
Mackenzie Wilcox is our dedicated volunteer coordinator. After a potential volunteer submits an application, she reaches out to help set up an ideal experience for them to give back to their community.
Our volunteers should be driven and hard-working. TAP welcomes people of any race, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and beyond. We work with each volunteer to find the best fit for them within our programs. All that we ask is that they come ready to help out the members of your community.
