              Mrs. Annalee Margaret Nance Markham, 86 years old of Covington passed away on January 5th, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Markham was born on December 29, 1936, in Covington to the late Frank Nance and Gladys Ryder Griffith (Father and Mother), in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by Melvina Nance (Stepmother) and Guy D. Griffith (Stepdad).

               Mrs. Markham was also preceded in death by the love of her life, Roy F. Markham Sr, who passed away on January 2, 2013. They were married on January 31, 1953, spending a cherished 59 years together, and missing him every day, until they were reunited together today.

              Mrs. Markham was also preceded in death by a Sister Glenna Nance Mahaney; a Brother-In-Law Ronald Lewis Mahaney; a Son-in-law Gary Wayne Frame, and her cat Cricket.

                Annalee was a retired Seamstress at Jane Colby and Halmode Apparel. She enjoyed her flowers and tending to them over the years, taking trips with her family, reading books, and loved spending time with her loving family.

               Those left behind to cherish her memory are her three children, daughter, Julie M. Frame of Chester; a son Roy F. Markham Jr. (Wife Teri Markham) of Covington; and a daughter Susan Robertson (Husband David Robertson) of Covington; Grandchildren Timothy Frame (Wife Wendy Frame) of Port Charlotte, Florida; Tracey Frame of Chester, Stacey Frame (Fiancé Chris Gillkin) of Chester, Kenneth E. Nicely  of Covington, William “Frankie” Nicely (Wife Jessica Nicely) of Covington, Candace Hoke (Husband Chris Hoke) of Covington, and Shane Markham (Wife Heather Markham) of Covington; Great Grandchildren Kirstien Anglero (Husband Andrew Anglero) of Port Charlotte, Florida; Hunter Frame (Fiancé Caity Lane) of Port Charlotte, Florida; Sebastian Frame of Port Charlotte, Florida and Caelan Frame of Port Charlotte, Florida; Kellie Nicely, Shellie Nicely and Jessie Nicely all of Covington, Skyler Markham and Dakota Markham of Covington, Lily Hoke and Dylan Hoke of Covington; Great-Great Grandchild Lucas Frame; Also, Annalee’s very special friend, Diane Hinkle; lastly, several nieces and nephews from the Mahaney Family and Loving Markham Family.  

              The funeral service will be held on January 8, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Arritt Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Warren officiating.

              The family will receive their friends on January 7, 2023, from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Arritt Funeral Home.  

              Following the service will be a graveside service at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

              Pallbearers are as follow: Kenneth Nicely, David Crosier, Tony Smallwood, Chris Hoke, Rob Lowe, and Shane Markham.

              The funeral arrangements are being handled by Arritt Funeral Home.

              In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Alleghany Humane Society at 9313 Richpatch Rd., Covington, VA 24426.
