Faye Landis, 91, of Bonneau Beach, SC, a retired deputy clerk for Alleghany County Combined District Courts of Virginia, died Friday, November 18, 2022, at The Palms of Mt. Pleasant, SC. Her funeral service was held Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at 2:00 PM at First Presbyterian Church of Moncks Corner. The family received friends from 1 o’clock until the hour of service. The entombment was in Plantation Memorial Gardens, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Landis was born on August 19. 1931, in Alleghany County, daughter of William E. Arritt and Bertie Reynolds Arriitt. She was a former elder at First Presbyterian Church of Moncks Corner; a member of the Pearl Leland Sunday School Class, a choir member, and a member of the Moncks Corner Pinopolis Book Club. Surviving are her son, Judge Jack A. Landis and his wife, Marissa Jacobsen of Charleston, SC; daughter Rita L. Hallman and her husband, Rev. Gerald Hallman of Mt. Pleasant, SC; four grandchildren- Dr. Sarah Phelps and husband, Mark; Jennifer Norris; Peter Landis and wife, Carly; Jane Landis; great-grandchildren- Gus and Adam Phelps; sister- Margie Nuckols and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Landis was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Landis; daughter, Susan Gail Landis; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Landis; brothers, Joe and Lacy Arritt and half-sister, Roxy Wright. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Moncks Corner, 419 W. Main Street, Moncks Corner, SC; the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N.
