Haily Rebecca Jones, age 57, of 705 Commerce Avenue, Iron Gate, Virginia died Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem.
Haily was born January 21, 1965 in Barberton, Ohio to the late James Butch “Jimmie” Jones and Lucille Brewer Jones. She was a teacher for the 4 Star program at the YMCA. In addition to teaching, she enjoyed playing and coaching volleyball, and loved her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Jones.
She is survived by a daughter, Krista Marie Conner, and fiancé Ian Brown, of Iron Gate; a son, Robert Ray Conner, Jr. and partner, Melissa Jefferies, of Covington; two sisters, Pam Jones Spry of Ohio and Mary Jones Keyser of Iron Gate; four brothers, Charles Simms of Iron Gate, Billy Simms of Iron Gate, Roy Simms and wife Kim of Florida, and Carl Jones and wife Cindy of Ohio; six grandchildren, Rialeigh Conner, Jadyn Brown, Kaymbri Brown, Carragyn Brown, Easton Conner, and Jayse Conner; a special grandchild, Gatlin Jefferies; a special daughter-in-law, Tamara Jefferies and husband Alan; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Iron Gate Community Church, Iron Gate, with Mr. Chris Fisher officiating. The family will visit with friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Iron Gate Community Church.
