Laura M. Hughes, a 2008 graduate of Dabney S. Lancaster Community College, is to be married to Iain D. Bruce, who is studying to be a veterinarian.
Miss Hughes is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Mark Hughes of Clifton Forge and Christy Montgomery of Covington.
Mr. Bruce is the son of Dr. David Bruce, DVM, and Anna Bruce, LVT, of Roanoke.
An October 2010 wedding is planned.
