Robert Paul Shahan
Mr. Robert Paul Shahan, age 60, of Covington, died Thursday, March 30, 2023, at LewisGale Hospital-Alleghany, Low Moor. He was the husband of Teresa Lee Bowen who preceded him in death in 2021.
Mr. Shahan was born August 28, 1962, in Dover, DE, the son of the late Joseph Shahan and Vicki Sue Osborne. He served his country as a member of the United States Navy. A resident of this community for the past twenty years, Rob was employed as an HVAC technician for various companies over the years.
Mr. Shahan is survived by a son, Travis Bowen of Covington; three daughters, Britney Nida and Randy Ingram, Jr. of Covington, Sarah Shahan of Covington and Samantha Shahan of Clifton Forge; ten grandchildren, Tia Ingram, Randy Ingram, III, Lenny Ingram, Brendon Nida, Blake Ingram, Desmond Ingram, Nevaeh Pruitt, Alaina Hodge, Brooklyn Hitchcock and Abigail Hitchcock; three brothers, Joseph Shahan, Jr. and wife, Bonnie of Delaware, Gary Shahan of Tennessee and Mark Shahan and wife, Macy of Delaware; four sisters, Robin Lee Hyde and husband, Tom of Pennsylvania, Cathy Moore of Florida, Kimberly Shreves and husband, Jim of Delaware and Amy DeVinentis and husband, Kenny of Delaware; special friend and “brother”, Michael Alan McKinney; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Shahan was preceded in death by his stepmother, Janie E. Shahan and his friend and “brother”, Cole.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2023, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating.
