COVINGTON, VIRGINIA (VR) – The Covington mill recently presented donations to three area high schools, Covington, Alleghany, and Bath, for STEM scholarships.
Each school’s scholarship committee selected a recipient from graduates going into a STEM field in college or trade school. The recipients stopped by the mill one afternoon to thank Mill Manager Don Wilkinson.
Forrest Waldeck will attend WVU and study engineering, Justice Maloney will attend WV Institute of Technology and study mechanical engineering, and Jackson Ross will attend Virginia Tech and study engineering.
The Virginian Review has been serving Covington, Clifton Forge, Alleghany County and Bath County since 1914.
