The market was packed with vendors offering fresh produce, clothing, flowers, sweets and drinks, while residents stocked up on fresh vegetables and picked out their favorite treats.

(VR) - The Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony Thursday afternoon to celebrate the new location of the Melissa Hylton State Farm office in Covington. Local leaders, business owners, employees, and community members gathered for the occasion. The new State Farm office is located at 202 N. Marion Ave. in Covington. COVINGTON, Va. (VR) - Mission accomplished—at least unofficially. Covington's Josh Anglin bowled for 137 hours and 10 minutes, completing 605 games to surpass the existing Guinness World Records mark for the longest 10-pin bowling marathon. While the performance appears to meet all record requirements, the attempt remains subject to official review and certification by Guinness World Records. Congratulations Josh.
