Teresa Lee “Terry” Bowen, age 57, of Covington, died Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Reston Hospital, Reston. She was the wife of Robert Paul Shahan.
Ms. Bowen was born June 28, 1964 in Ft. Meade, MD, the daughter of Lula Wright Bowen and the late James Bowen. She was employed as a registered nurse for twenty-two years. Terry enjoyed sewing, crocheting and always had a project going on. Her most important project was helping others and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She had a heart of gold and was always there for anyone who needed her. Terry will always be remembered by her warm smile and giving heart.
In addition to her husband and mother, Ms. Bowen is survived by a son, Travis Bowen; three daughters, Britney Nida and fiancé, Randy Ingram, Jr., Sarah Shahan and Samantha Shahan; ten grandchildren, Tia Ingram, Randy Ingram, III, Lenny Ingram, Brendon Nida, Blake Ingram, Desmond Ingram, Nevaeh Pruitt, Alaina Hodge, Brooklynn Hitchcock and Abigail Hitchcock; brother, Jonah Bowen of Beckley; three sisters, Zettia “Z.L” Fizer of Florida, Carol “Sue” Bush of Covington and Elizabeth “Libby” Day of Covington; her best friend, Kiana Wright; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own and a very special niece, Misty Day of Texas.
In addition to her father, Ms. Bowen was preceded in death by her sister, Pamela “Pam” Tucker and two brothers.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 11, 2021 from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Pastor Pam Irvine officiating.
