HOT SPRINGS – It was a career day for Wyatt Campbell as his four-goal performance helped Bath County advance to the Pioneer District Championship game following a dominant 9-1 district semifinals victory over Narrows on Monday in Hot Springs.

With a slim 1-0 advantage with just over three minutes left of the first half the ball just kept dropping the Chargers and Campbell’s way as the junior netted three goals in closing minutes to push the BCHS lead to four scores.

After reaching the hat trick in the first half alone, Campbell, added a fourth goal in the second half which helped seal the district semifinal victory over Narrows.

Not to be outshined by Campbell’s big day, Luke Turner also had a huge game for Bath County as the sophomore was the second Charger of the contest to net a hat trick performance.

Braiden Mabe and Carter Hooker each added a goal a piece. Mabe led the way defensively with eight steals.

Mabe, L. Turner, and Andrew Turner each had a pair of assists, while Campbell and Hooker added one. Hooker’s goal was the only one not assisted on as he scored the final goal of the game coming off of a penalty kick which sealed the win for Bath County.

On the nets senior goalkeeper Frankie DeBoe once again did his job and kept Narrows in check. Despite the one goal, DeBoe finished with four saves in the win over the Green Waves.

Carissa Kohel scored the loan goal for NHS.

The win for BCHS was their third on the season over the Green Waves. In a span of 11 days three of the Chargers last four wins have come against NHS.
