CLIFTON FORGE – The fifth annual Nicelytown Picnic and Gospel Sing will be held Saturday in eastern Alleghany County at Route 42 and Morgan Drive one mile north of I 64 off exit 29.
The picnic begins at 5 p.m. under a big tent with chairs and tables provided.
Those attending the picnic who would like to bring a covered dish are asked to arrive by 4:45 p.m.
Meat and drinks are provided.
Music will begin around 6 p.m. with local groups and singers including The Expressions, Southbound, and The Announcers.
Fireworks will follow the singing at approximately 8:45 p.m.
This event is free and open to the public and is hosted by the William Nicely family.
There will be plenty of parking, shelters, and restroom facilities on-site.
Donations will be received to benefit the Wayne Bennett cancer fund.
