Mr. A.C. Kidd, popular Covington contractor, has just completed a very attractive home in Rosedale for Mrs. Elizabeth Payne Fudge.
The house is strictly modern in every respect.
It is of old English Style, brick architecture and is one of many such lovely homes that have been erected in Covington and vicinity this season.

Today’s Headline: Many Problems Considered By Clifton Forge Council.
The Clifton Forge City Council held its monthly meeting Monday night at the courthouse.
Sen. Hale Collins appeared before council representing a concern from West Virginia to install a telegram cable service.
The purpose of the cable would be to sell the television service to private homes for different programs.
About six station would be available on a rental basis.

Today’s Headline: Clifton Forge Gets Grant.
The city of Clifton Forge will receive a $700,000 Community Development Block Grant for water, sewer and street improvements in the Smith Creek-Dry Creek areas, Del. William T. Wilson said yesterday.
A tractor-trailer carrying large rolls of newsprint bound for the Covington Virginian overturned at about 7 a.m. this morning as it attempted to make the turn onto the Route 220 bridge in south Clifton Forge.

Today’s Headline: School Board OKs Health Contract.
The Alleghany County School System will see health insurance costs increase by 8.9 percent.
The school board voted Monday to approve a one-year contract with Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
