HOT SPRINGS - Lucille (Mines) Hinton Swink passed away Oct. 13, 2010.
Born April 3, 1931, in Bath County, she was the daughter of the late John Mines and Madeline Grady Mines.
She was a member of Ashwood United Methodist Church.
She was a member of the Bath County Planning Commission, a former magistrate of Bath County, a volunteer worker with the bloodmobile for a number of years, a substitute teacher for many years at Valley Elementary School, and an election officer at the Hot Springs Precinct.
She is survived by two sons, William (Bill) Hinton Jr. and Steven Michael Hinton, both of Hampton; two grandchildren, Amy Marie (Hinton) Starnes of Hampton and Justin Michael Hinton of Jefferson City, Tenn.; three great-grandchildren; and a very special niece and nephew, Hilda (Smooks) Zalubowski and John Zalubowski of Roanoke.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Madeline Mines; her first husband, William (Bill) Hinton Sr.; one sister, Carline Folks; and two brothers, George Mines and Pete Mines.
In accordance with her wishes, her body has been cremated and there will be no visitation and no memorial service.
