The Jackson River Garden Club met for their annual Christmas luncheon at Mountain View Restaurant Tuesday, Dec. 14.
Mrs. Harriet Byers, president, welcomed members and guests. Visitors included Mrs. Lyn Pickeral, Mrs. Phyllis Bosserman, Ms. Jane Ellis, Mr. Robert Tigrett, Mr. Robert Reyns, Mr. Pat Winston, the Rev. Barry Throckmorton, and Mr. Peter Byers.
Mrs. Vivian Sutphin read the poems “Christmas Everywhere” and “Prayer”.
Mrs. Byers thanked the coordinators of the luncheon, Mrs. Darlene Taylor, Mrs. Edna Tigrett and Mrs. Geri Garcia.
Reports were given on members who were absent due to illness or injury.
Mrs. Sue Winston moved to table the business report until the January meeting and it was so decided.
A sumptuous meal was enjoyed by all.
