VINTON – Paul C. Hendrick, 85, of Vinton went to be with the Lord Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009.
He was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II stationed in England with the 8th Airforce. He retired from Woody’s Auto Parts in Covington. He was a 50-year member of the Covington Masonic Lodge, 171 A.F. & A.M.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurston and Ruth Hendrick; sister, Christine Francis; brothers, William and Warren Hendrick.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Ann Hannabass Hendrick; daughters and son-in-law, Linda Hensley and husband, Jack of Maryville, Tenn., Alma Kay Hendrick of Vinton; sons and daughter-in-law, Lynn C. and Missy Hendrick of Roanoke, Gary Hendrick of Virginia Beach. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Lisa Gonzalez, Jesse Hensley, Joseph Hensley, Brandon Hendrick, Bobby Hendrick, Tommy Hendrick and Billy Hendrick; great-grandchildren, Micah and Elijah Gonzalez; and sisters, Frances Saunders of Charlottesville, and Barbara Witt and husband, Doodle of Roanoke.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church, Friendship Retirement Community or Good Samaritan Hospice.
A funeral service will be conducted at Campbell Memorial Presbyterian Church, 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Dr. Burton Newman officiating. Interment with military and Masonic Rites will be in the Mt. View Cemetery, Vinton.
