HOT SPRINGS – This Friday kicks off the start of the 2024 high school football season for Bath County who participate in the first of two scrimmages this offseason as they play Summers County at Greenbrier East, W.VA high school at 5:00 p.m.
The Chargers who are coming off their best season in over 10 years are led by third-year head coach Jake Phillips who guided BCHS to a 9-2 record last year which included a 9-0 start.
As of right now the Chargers are only set to play nine games due to Auburn who was scheduled to be their October 11th opponent, are not fielding a varsity football team this year.
The official season kicks off for Bath County on Friday, August 30th as they host Mountain View (Quicksburg) at Carl F. Williams Field.
One week later on Friday, August 30th, the Chargers will play on the road for the first time as they return to Page County for the first time since 2022 when they play against the Panthers.
The final regular season game on Friday, November 8th will feature the rematch against the defending Pioneer District champion Narrows who beat Bath County on the road 47-19 to win the district title last year. This season the Green Waves will be the host.
