COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The 2026 FCA Alleghany Baccalaureate Service was held Sunday evening, May 17, at First Christian Church as seniors, family members and community supporters gathered to celebrate the graduating class.
The evening opened with worship music from the Alleghany FCA worship team before several students shared personal messages about faith and encouragement.
Senior Kiera Lowman spoke about the impact Fellowship of Christian Athletes has had on her life and how being involved with FCA helped strengthen her faith and relationships throughout high school.
Kaylee Nicely also addressed those in attendance, encouraging her classmates to continue pursuing their goals and purpose beyond graduation.
“Regardless of where you are in life, regardless of where you end up there is always more to life, there’s another step you can take, and it’s never too late to do something that you’ve always wanted to do,” Nicely said.
Former FCA president Remington Propps delivered a message to the graduating seniors, offering realistic encouragement as they prepare for the next chapter of their lives.
Following the service, those in attendance were invited to the family life center for refreshments and fellowship.
