James Edward “Pibb” Hall
James Edward “Pibb” Hall, age 60, of 1321 Linden Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at his residence.
Pibb was born March 14, 1963, in Clifton Forge to Robert Carrington “R.C.” Hall, Sr. and Elnora Mae Warwick Hall. He was a graduate of Clifton Forge High School, and was a retired Materials Handler for Gala Industries. He also worked for Acadia Polymers. Pibb was devoted to golf and friendship. He was a member of Cliftondale Country Club and the Clifton Forge Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. He enjoyed listening to the music of The Rolling Stones, and was an avid fan of the Washington Red Skins and UVA sports.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Robert C. “Bobby” Hall, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Ed and Wahneta Warwick; maternal grandparents, Granville Hall, Sr. and Hattie Hall; and his dog and best friend, Lacey.
In addition to his parents, R.C. and Nora Hall of Clifton Forge, Pibb is survived by his sister, Melissa Peery and husband Paul of Buchanan; two nieces, Courtney Peery, and Erin Peery and fiancé Erik; two uncles, Mike Warwick and wife Elizabeth and Paul Warwick and husband Ed; a number of cousins; and so many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 12:00 Noon in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Pam Irvine officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Clifton Forge. Pallbearers will be Chubby Harlow, Rocky Tolley, Robbie Morgan, David “Onion” Unroe Curly Norvell, Marty Wood, Dylan Chittum, and Erik Swortzel. The family will visit with friends on Monday morning from 11:00 AM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
