COVINGTON Va. (VR) – Ray’s Sweet Shoppe & Poutinerie in Covington, Virginia, has a plethora of goodies and sundries to choose from. It’s a delightful 1950s-themed shop/restaurant specializing in Poutinerie (poo-tin-a-ry), which is a Canadian staple of gravy and fries. They have taken the gravy dish indulgence a bit further, offering combinations like BBQ Pork, Chicken Bacon Ranch, Philly Cheese and more. All of this is topped with Wisconsin cheese curds!
Also on the decadent menu are burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, sausages, subs and ice cream. Hand-dipped Tillamook ice cream can be enjoyed at their 50’s style counter while taking in the cozy atmosphere and jazzy 50’s music. To the delight of children and grown-ups, there are jars of bulk candies, Funko Pops (bobble-headed lollies), sweets galore and a slew of other gift items. Peruse the shops’ NFL, basketball, baseball & college sports apparel and swag; purses, jewelry, baby items, gemstones and an entire section of BigFoot memorabilia. More inventory is added all the time with regular discounts available on select merchandise.

My incredible employees are super kind, hard workers and make my days at work a joy. They’re just really good people.” The family unit is dedicated to serving the public one happy smile at a time.
