Local Leaders Recognize Children’s Environmental Health Day

COVINGTON, Va. (VR)- Local leaders joined together to sign a proclamation recognizing Oct. 8, 2026, as Children’s Environmental Health Day in the Alleghany Highlands. The proclamation highlights the importance of protecting children from environmental health risks and promoting clean air and water, safe surroundings, and practices that support the health and well-being of local children.
