COVINGTON, Va. (VR) – The Alleghany Athletic Club approved several funding requests during its September meeting, which drew more than 25 people. The club approved funding for an equipment storage building at Clifton Academy for the Alleghany boys and girls tennis teams. Members also approved funding to assist the Athletic Department with its Hudl video subscription for the 2026-27 school year.
The club approved providing pizza and drinks for football players and cheerleaders during Youth Night at the Sept. 25 home football game. The Alleghany Athletic Club also approved an increase in meal assistance funding across all programs for the 2026-27 school year. The funds will be deposited into each program’s general account at the school.
The next meeting is scheduled for Oct. 5 at 6:30 p.m. in the Alleghany High School library.
