Rockbridge Area Community Services Board, Bath County Sheriff’s Office and Bath Community Hospital have joined forces to tackle the opioid crisis in the local community. In a collaborative effort, they have secured a permanent drug disposal box that will allow residents to safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications.
The drug disposal box will be a valuable resource in reducing the number of opioids that end up on the streets and in the hands of those who may misuse them. This initiative is part of a broader effort to combat the opioid epidemic and promote safe and responsible medication management.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this new resource and help keep their community safe. The permanent drug disposal box will be located at the Bath County Sheriff’s office in a secure and easily accessible location, and all medications collected will be safely disposed of in accordance with state and federal regulations.
This collaboration between Rockbridge Area Community Services Board, Bath County Sheriff’s Office and Bath Community Hospital is a positive step forward in addressing the opioid crisis and promoting public health and safety.
