LOW MOOR — The Healthy Highlands Program, an initiative aimed at promoting and improving the health of Alleghany Highlands residents, has unveiled its new logo.
The logo features a golden heart hovering above a mountain with a river running below and was designed by web developer and graphic artist John Morris of COV Designs.
“We are working together to create positive, lasting change, just as the logo says,” said Dr. Sandra McHenry, Healthy Highlands program leader. “We are partnering with other organizations in the area to spotlight various healthcare issues and disease prevention.”
The Healthy Highlands initiative is funded through grants from the Virginia Department of Health and YMCA of the USA. In her duties, Dr. McHenry promotes the positives of vaccinations, reducing health risks and reclaiming healthy lifestyles for residents of the Alleghany Highlands.
The Healthy Highlands program is headquartered at the Alleghany Highlands YMCA. For more information on this initiative, email Dr. McHenry at smchenryahymca@gmail.com or call (540) 962-9622.
