For citizens of Clifton Forge who are used to taking Jefferson Avenue to the heights or going “the back way to Kroger,” it has not been particularly easy the last few days. “Detour” signs have suddenly popped up as a crew has been working midways up the steep hill. A source at Clifton Forge Public Works has disclosed that the reason for the road work is Columbia Gas putting in new pipes for the area. We have reached out to Columbia Gas and are currently waiting to hear back from them. The Virginian Review will keep readers posted as more information becomes available. (Jennifer Bailey Photo)
