The Covington’s Farmer’s Market on Main Street is in full swing for the Summer, every Saturday from 9:00 a.m.– noon.
Approximately 15 vendors were set up when the Virginian Review stopped in last Saturday:
Mar and Marley Jimenez, Clifton Forge, offered various house plants, jewelry, and t-shirts. Jimenez accepts Venmo, as well as cash. Lori, Lilah, and Allen Rowsey, The Rusty Tractor, Bath County, offered unique homemade bookmarkers with pen holders, doggie scarves, free-range farm eggs, and other unique handmade items.
Hubert Newton, Covington, The Covington Garden Center offered watermelons, cantaloupes, cucumbers, tomatoes, green beans, cabbages, and cherries.
Mountain Grove, Warm Springs, offered fruits, vegetables, farm fresh eggs, and various spices; Keisha Jones, Clifton Forge, offered handmade jewelry and soaps. Jones also has a storefront in downtown Clifton Forge, where she offers vintage and homemade items.
There were many other items offered by various vendors: jewelry, t-shirts, honey, cupcakes, floral arrangements, cinnamon rolls, candles, croquet items, wreaths, and some offered cold and refreshing drinks.
Several shoppers were strolling through checking out the many different offerings on this sun-filled, 1st day of July, morning.
