Pamela Mason Nicely
Pamela Mason Nicely, age 64, of 4204 Nicelytown Road, Clifton Forge, Virginia went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor, Virginia.
Pam was born August 5, 1958 in Omaha, Nebraska to Robert Sherwood and Sharon Witcofski Mason. She moved with her family to Clifton Forge and was a 1976 graduate of Clifton Forge High School. She was employed by Alleghany Highlands Public Schools for over 25 years as a school bus driver and was also Co-Manager of Nicely Kwik Lube in Clifton Forge. She enjoyed crafts, flower gardening, and spending time with family, especially the grandchildren at their various sporting events. She loved sharing family time while on the Cowpasture River.
She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Nancy Nicely; brother-in-law, Dennis Elroy “Rusty” Nicely, Jr.; aunt, Virginia Parks; and grandparents, Elizabeth and Michael Montebell and Floyd and Beulah Witcofski.
In addition to her parents, Robert and Sharon Mason of Brazil, IN, Pam is survived by her husband of 46 years, Marion Algon Nicely of Clifton Forge; her children, Chad Nicely and wife Jeanna of Lexington; Brad Nicely and wife Erin of Clifton Forge, Anthony Nicely and wife Kristin of Clifton Forge, Devan Nicely and wife Marie of Lexington, and Elizabeth Nicely of Lynchburg; her brother, Robert Mason and wife Tami of Cheyenne, WY and her twin sister, Deborah Michie and husband Michael of Clifton Forge; her father-in-law, Dennis Elroy Nicely, Sr. and wife Peggy of Clifton Forge; her grandchildren, Ethan Nicely, Carter Nicely, Mason Nicely, Brody Nicely, Kara Nicely, Lilly Nicely, Julia Nicely, Austin Nicely, Caroline Nicely, Caleb Nicely, and Josh Ayers; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Martha Smith and Ann Morris.
A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Pastor Brandon Nicely and Pastor Ethan Appell officiating. Following the service, her body was cremated. The family received friends on Sunday afternoon from 12:00 PM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorial tributes in memory of Pam Nicely take the form of contributions to the Lexington Baptist Church Building Fund, C/O Rachel Newhouse, 75 Old Farm Rd, Lexington, VA 24450.
