Ann Ginger Tingler, 87, of 2021 Rugby Ave., died, Sunday, August 9, 2020, at The Brian Center in Low Moor.
Mrs. Tingler was born May 4, 1933 in Covington, the daughter of the late John and Mary Webb Ginger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Tingler, Sr; a grandson, John F. Tingler; daughter-in-law, Karen Tingler; brothers, Johnny Ginger, Frank Ginger, Joe Ginger, Harry Ginger, and Tommy Ginger.
She was a homemaker and was a member of the Good News Christian Fellowship. She loved baking, cooking, bowling, and being active with her church family where she was a mother figure to all.
Surviving are her husband of 70 years, James W. Tingler Sr; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Kenny Armentrout; a son, J.W. Tingler, Jr, all of Covington; a granddaughter, Kimberly Tingler of Covington; two grandsons, J.C. Armentrout and wife Samantha of Covington, and Kevin Tingler, Jr. of Columbus, GA; six great-grandchildren, McKenzie Armentrout, Adam Armentrout, Levi Harmon, Jaxson Harmon, Eniga and Hayden Tingler, and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 13, 2020, at 1:00 PM at Good News Christian Fellowship with the Rev. Steve Noel officiating.
The family will receive their friends from noon until service time at the church.
The interment will be held at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
