In the May 25th edition of the Virginian Review, there was an article titled “Curtis A. Smith VFW Post 1033 to host Memorial Day remembrance ceremony.”
In the article, three wars were listed as being notable. We sincerely apologize for the omission of Vietnam where the lives of 58,220 American soldiers were lost. That is notable. The most casualties occurred in 1968 after President Johnson increased the maximum number of U.S. Troops to 549,500. We honor all of the Vietnam veterans then and now.
