Dear Editor, May 2023
Referencing the arrest of D.W. Persinger for setting up time to do an illegal activity with a child, it is eerily similar to the theme in Tom Cruise’s movie “The Minority Report”. After all, does not one have to commit an offense first before one is arrested?
Of course, any act of crime must be punished. Persinger was charged with using a communication device to facilitate certain offenses against minors.
However in this case it appears that the offense had yet to be committed and that the offense may not had been committed at all. The moral of this story is a suspected individual(s) should only be charged and arrested after the commission of an alleged crime.
These legal system perversions are indicative that there is no republic nor democracy nor rights nor Constitutional rule of law. There is only totalitarianism from Attorney Officialdom. Yet people simply cannot understand that.
Even if there are verifiable elections, it would not matter simply people simply do not understand what a republic, a democracy, and proper rule of law really are. I used to think that in S.W. Virginia people were not able to understand because of the “Redneck, Hillbilly” element. However as I interacted with people from other parts of Virginia and the U.S.A., I realized this ignorance, territorialism, status-posturing, and myopic vision are universal. This kleptocratic anarcho-tyranny does not happen unless people acquiesce to this.
Very Truly Yours,
