Columbus Lee Shifflett, Sr., 81, of Warm Springs, Virginia passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Augusta Health in Fishersville, Virginia. 
He was born October 12, 1939 in Hot Springs, Virginia, the son of the late Layton O’dell Shifflett and Mary Pauline Graham Shifflett.
Mr. Shifflett retired from Covington Honda Nissan where he worked as a Car Salesman.
He was a member of Healing Springs Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman, gardener and sportsman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially when he could attend family reunions.
He is survived by a special companion,  Jeanette Bryant of Covington, Virginia; three children, Columbus L. Shifflett, Jr. of Warm Springs, Kathi S. Hensley & husband Allen of Hot Springs, Virginia, Melvin D. Shifflett & wife Missy of Hot Springs;  two grandchildren, Whitney Shifflett of Hot Springs, Virginia, Landon Hensley of Radford, Virginia; seven brothers, Robert Shifflett & wife Charlotte of Hot Springs, Jerry Shifflett & wife Sarah of Hightown, Virginia, Hugh Shifflett & wife Diana, Ralph Shifflett, Ron Shifflett & wife Lumina, Randy Shifflett & wife Sue, Jody Shifflett all of all Hot Springs; five sisters; Jeannette Dellinger & husband Ray of Bakersville, NC, Patricia Watson & husband Frankie of Fairmont, WV, Edna Beam & husband Tom of Kerikeri, New Zealand, Sally Howard & husband Jim, Martha Peters & husband Eddie all of Hot Springs; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Jim, Frank & Leonard Shifflett.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Warm Springs Cemetery with Reverend Richard Goforth officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home at any time.
Memorial contributions may be made to Healing Springs Baptist Church, 4697 Sam Snead Highway, Hot Springs, Virginia 24445.
