On 2/14/2023 deputies responded to a call to Hatcher Ave in Covington for the sound of gunshots in progress. Upon arrival deputies investigated a home that contained bullet holes in the what was reported to have been an attempted breaking and entering.
The investigation led to the arrests of:
Savannah Malcom, 18
Covington, Va.
David Harrison, 19
Grottoes, Va.
Both charged with:
18.2-91-Breaking and entering with intent to commit assault and battery.
18.2-279- Shooting into occupied dwelling
Both suspects are currently being held without bond at the Alleghany Regional Jail.
