              Carolyn Edwards Beverly, age 70, of 1029 Brussels Avenue, Clifton Forge, Virginia died Friday, October 23, 2020 at University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
              She was born February 15, 1950 in Bath County, Virginia to the late Charles and Lina Luckett Edwards.
              She was retired dietary supervisor for Alleghany Regional Hospital. Carolyn was a member of Mt Zion Baptist Church. She enjoyed crochet, working puzzles, watching scary movies, using her iPad and playing bingo.
              In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son Andre Edwards, four brothers and six sisters.
              She is survived by her husband John M. Beverly of Clifton Forge; a daughter, Carol Anne Beverly of Clifton Forge; a son, John Matthew Beverly of Independence; a step daughter, Nicole Dorcus of Covington; three sisters, JoAnn Pettus of Richmond, Eva Edwards of Waynesboro and Louise Edwards of Millboro; three brothers, Paul Edwards of Craigsville, Joe Edwards of Waynesboro and Ricky Edwards of Covington; ten grandchildren, Janya Jackson, Raheem Jackson, Ariana Beverly, Malik Holloway, Asia Holloway, Dre Edwards, Dayja Edwards, Ahmir Smith, DeAndre Davenport and Gage Kern; seven great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
              A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Nicely Funeral Home, Clifton Forge with Reverend Vanessa Johnson and Reverend Reggie Johnson officiating. 
              Interment will follow in Edwards Cemetery, Bath County.  
              The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of service at Nicely Funeral Home.
